What is application intelligence
Application intelligence is a PlanningIndex feature that analyses the description and documents of a planning application to identify specific types of work being proposed. It highlights quantities, materials, and trade-relevant information so you can quickly assess whether an application is worth pursuing.
How it works
When you open an application detail page, PlanningIndex displays an intelligence panel if relevant work has been identified. This panel shows items like the number of windows being replaced, the area of roof being re-covered, or the dimensions of an extension. It also suggests the trade that the work is most relevant to.
Application intelligence helps you quickly decide whether an application is relevant to your trade, without needing to read every word of the description or download every document.
Using intelligence to prioritise
When you have a large number of search results, use the intelligence panel to quickly prioritise. An application that identifies "12 timber sash windows" is a more substantial window contract than one that identifies "2 replacement windows." Focus your time on the applications with the most relevant and substantial work.
