Running Your First Planning Search
Updated August 2026
Opening the search page
From your workspace dashboard, click "Planning Applications" in the sidebar. This opens the Planning Search page, where you can search across all planning applications in your subscribed councils.
Entering your search criteria
The search form has several fields you can use to find relevant applications. You do not need to fill in every field — start with keyword and location, then refine with additional filters if needed.
- 1Enter a keyword in the keyword field — for example, "windows", "extension", or "loft conversion".
- 2Enter a location — a town name, postcode, or place name.
- 3Set a radius — how far from your location you want to search.
- 4Optionally, set application type, status, date range, or council filters.
- 5Click "Search" to see your results.
Understanding your results
Your search results will show the total number of applications found, along with a list of result cards. Each card shows the application title, reference number, address, council, date received, and status.
Click any result to open the full application details page, where you can see the description, documents, location map, and CRM actions.
Save your search after running it. Saved searches are automatically updated with new applications as they are submitted, so you never need to run the same search manually twice.
